Despite the challenges of unprecedented magnitude that the current difficult circumstances have created for all of us, we can say that our global dental industry is looking to the future with great optimism. Like all international trade fairs, the IDS will also play a decisive role in the post-Corona era in showing the solutions and trends for a successful future again. Production, logistics, distribution and communication will change – the networking of stakeholders, reactivating economic relationships and establishing new business will be more important than ever before. It is critical that all market participants actively prepare for this now.
The number of registrations for the coming IDS received from exhibitors from all over the world so far has been very positive. Those who thought that manufacturers would be negatively affected by the current circumstances have been proven wrong. We are seeing optimism instead of pessimism.
Registrations from all parts of the world are coming in almost daily. We see this as an important indication of the strong bond between the dental industry and IDS in Cologne. This not only demonstrates their confidence in the future but also in our sense of responsibility as organisers.
The health of our partners and guests is our highest priority. Only if we are and stay healthy can we be truly successful together. No one knows that better than an industry that is at the centre of the healthcare sector. We, who as manufacturers of medical products have been used to meeting the highest standards for decades with regard to the development, production and introduction of products, are also very aware of the great responsibility we have as the world’s leading trade fair for the dental community.
Rest assured that the German dental industry and Koelnmesse will do everything in their power to ensure a safe, healthy and successful IDS 2021. We are therefore working together with all international, national and regional organisations and bodies tasked with setting, monitoring and maintaining health standards.
We are following the current developments very carefully and always have the safety and well-being of our guests in mind when assessing the information of the health authorities.
