IDS 2015 - No. 3 - Excellent number of bookings for the IDS 2015

The preparations for the 36th IDS - International Dental Show - are in full swing, nine months before the beginning of the event. Already approximately 1,400 exhibitors from 46 countries have signed up for the IDS, which is taking place in Cologne from 10-14 March 2015. The demand for stand space is even larger than ever compared with the IDS 2013. Currently, the sign up figures are 7 percent higher than those at the same point in time during the previous event. That's why the halls of the Cologne trade fair grounds with a gross exhibition space of 150,000 square metres are already jam-packed. The GFDI - Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Dental-Industrie mbH, the commercial enterprise of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI), and Koelnmesse have commented in a joint statement: "The enterprises are opting, at an increasingly early age, to participate at the IDS, in order to secure stand space and, as usual, to be actively involved. The excellent interim result impressively underlines the position of the IDS as the leading international business and communication platform for the entire international dental sector."

As a result of these positive signs, the organisers are also expecting a large amount of interest from the entire international dental sector at the IDS 2015, inspired by the record results of the IDS 2013. From 10-14 March 2015, as before, over 2,000 companies from around the world will be expected in Cologne, including all international market leaders. The high degree of participation by companies outside of Germany will be demonstrated via the participation of a huge number of companies from the USA, Italy, Switzerland, France, The UK, Korea, The Netherlands, Japan, Israel, Spain and Brazil. First-time exhibitors come from around the world - there is growth particularly in Italy, the USA, Korea, Switzerland, France, and The UK.

With 2,058 exhibitors from 56 countries and a foreign proportion of 68 percent, as well as more than 125,000 trade visitors from 149 countries (48 percent), the IDS event in March 2013 was able to set new record highs in all exhibition figures.

IDS takes place in Cologne every two years and is organized by the GFDI Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Dental-Industrie mbH, the commercial enterprise of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI) and staged by Koelnmesse GmbH, Cologne.
