Final report on the 35th International Dental Show (Exhibitor feedback on IDS 2013)
BEGO Bremer Goldschlägerei Wilh. Herbst GmbH & Co. KG, Christoph Weiss, Managing Director:
“We’re very pleased by how well the fair went. It was very international and we had a lot of interesting conversations. The customers we met were well informed and expressed great interest in our new technologies.”
Beutlich Pharmaceuticals LLC, David Clinnard, International Sales Manager:
“We are family owned pharmaceutical company and have been attending the IDS show for many years. As the International Sales Manager at Beutlich Pharmaceuticals I've found the IDS convention to be imperative in finding new distributors around the world. There is no show that comes close to the world wide exposure you will encounter in the dental market. We receive a large quantity of leads but more importantly many are high quality. I've personally attended three IDS shows and from these shows alone our international business has increased by at least 50 percent. In addition to the convention itself being important we've found that exhibiting in the USA Pavilion to be an essential part of our success. They offer many amenities and services that make the show run smoother for us.”
DeguDent GmbH, Johannes Draxler, Managing Director:
“IDS remains the sector’s leading trade fair. It provides a truly outstanding international forum for presenting new developments and products. We as exhibitors are very satisfied with the dynamic nature of IDS, and we were also pleased by the business results it produced for us.”
GC Germany GmbH, Frank Rosenbaum, Managing Director:
“We had a steady stream of visitors at our stand. The trade visitors were very knowledgeable and took a close look at our innovations. Most importantly, many decision makers were in attendance, and this was reflected in the number of orders we received during the fair. In other words, we’re very satisfied, and we’re also already looking forward to IDS 2015.”
George Taub Products & Fusion Co., Inc., Jordan Taub, Vice President:
"We think the IDS meeting is a great location to meet current and prospective distributors. Through the IDS, we have renewed friendships, business partnerships and expanded our global dealership network.”
Handler MFG Co. Inc., Rick Laduca, President and General Manager:
"For Handler, IDS is the most important dental meeting in the world. It is my 5th show and this meeting in 2013 has been tremendous. With proper planning and help from our partners in the USA Pavilion, Hander is able to reconnect with friends and establish new relationships. When we meet with customers and potential customers at IDS, our goal is to present them with Handler's latest updates and new products, and take orders for our products. IDS brings many people from all regions of the world together successfully."
International Association for Orthodontics (IAO), Detlef Moore, Executive Director:
"It has proven important and essential for the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) to participate as an exhibitor during IDS dental meetings in Cologne. Through IAO's participation, the association has made many meaningful and needed connections with international members of the dental trade."
ITL Dental Corporation, C. W. Emery, President:
“The 2013 IDS meeting has shown excellent potential for export growth. The ability to meet with such a high grade of potential customers in the USA Pavilion has generated a potential for significant growth of my business.”
Ivoclar Vivadent Deutschland, Norbert Wild, Managing Director:
“As we expected, the Ivoclar Vivadent stand was well frequented by dentists and dental technicians from around the world on all days of the trade fair. The share of international visitors was once again higher than in 2011. Extensive interest was displayed in our innovative products, and our turnover expectations were met as well.”
J. Morita Europe GmbH, Jürgen-Richard Fleer, General Manager:
“We were very satisfied, especially with the high decision-making competence of potential customers, which was much higher than in 2011. We were also able to welcome a very great number of interested visitors. The response to our product innovations was very good, and we received a large number of orders as a result.”
KaVo Dental GmbH, Henner Witte, Managing Director:
“IDS 2013 was a great success. We were thrilled by the large number of visitors in attendance and their extensive interest in our products — not to mention the business we generated at the fair. German customers were particularly interested in our digital workflow solutions, especially those involving the integration of x-rays and CADCAM systems. The number of international visitors — especially from growth regions such as China, Russia, and Brazil — was also very impressive, as was the interest displayed in our entire range of products for these international markets. We’re very grateful to our customers and business partners.”
Sirona Dental Systems, Jeff Slovin, CEO :
“IDS was a complete success for us. The Sirona stand attracted a huge number of visitors with its 25 new product showcases presented under the motto “The Power of Innovation”. We were also pleased by the many visitors from abroad in attendance and, as always, with the very positive reactions of the German dentists and dental technicians. IDS truly lived up to its reputation as the sector’s leading trade fair.”
SSI Co., Ltd., Young Wan Song, CEO:
“We came to IDS from Korea to present our products to visitors from around the world, and we achieved this goal. We had a lot of promising discussions and visitors were quite interested in our innovations, which is why we expect post-fair business to be very good.”
VITA Zahnfabrik H. Rauter GmbH & Co.KG, Michael Brielmann, Sales and Marketing Director:
“Several thousand people visited the VITA stand to view its world premieres, so the fair was a huge success for us. We were very satisfied with how the fair went, and you could tell there were a lot more visitors from abroad at the 2013 show.
