Based on this, 65 percent of the VDDI members assess domestic business performance in 2010 as good. They were able to record increases in turnover. Expectations in the current financial year are also similarly positive, as 62 percent of the member companies anticipate increased turnovers in Germany. International business remains a stable anchor of growth With an export quota on this occasion of approximately 55 percent, the German dental industry was able to stabilise its market position on the world markets and even significantly expand in some markets. With regard to export business performance in 2010, 46 percent of those questioned reported increased turnovers, 40 percent of the companies reported sales results at the level of the previous year and only 14 percent recorded a downturn. Dr. Rickert confirmed as chairman At the scheduled election Dr. Martin Rickert (SycoTec), after an eight-year term in office, was confirmed with an overwhelming majority as chairman of the VDDI for a further two years. Henry Rauter (Vita-Zahnfabrik) and Sebastian Voss (Hager und Meisinger) were also confirmed as vice chairmen.
